This is a soft plastic bottle with a removeable cap containing a fine stainless stell tube, through which the varnish is transferred onto the fly head when the bottle is squeezed. Accurate, quick and easy to use with no mess or waste, available empty to enable you to use your favourite varnish. A must for any serious fly tyers. Chemically coated plastic bottle prevents varnish evaporation.
Our fly tying varnish will thicken and needs to be thinned from time to time with thinners. It is also essential when using a varnish aplicator to keep the varnish thin enough to keep flowing.

High-build gloss varnish. Gives flies the perfect finish.
Water based clear varnish dries slightly slower than the traditional varnishes but if you spill it you can clean it up with water.

Feather Weld has been produced due to the demand from fly tyers for a clear, flexible lacquer whihc can be used to join spilts in feathers such as jungle cock eyes without marking when folded for patterns such as roof wing sedges. Apply one drop of Feather Weld to any split feather or wing and wipe over with thumb and forefinger to create a wing whihc will remain in shape even after use. Supplied in 15ml bottles.
